Exactly. Every mod comes with its risks. If you mod you assume risk...the piggyback was not PROVEN and yet CONCLUSIONS are being made. Horrible at best-conjecture as to why piggys are best.....hidden agenda much?

Anyone who has a flash tune just ask dealer if engine or transmission goes bad if it's covered. If they say yes then all good go for it...... if that's the case then not sure why they gave this guy a hard time with his flash tune.

Im just giving a heads up that's all. Maybe his car just had a bad cylinder but he said that were sign of detonation on pistons..... which was my fault because of what input on his car. I've yet to have anyone have detonation.in over 2 years with cat delete ot intake set ups from vendors here...... a tune I can see doing detonation though. He did have tune in before I worked on car and that was little over month ago and when I was putting in downpipe because he said he just did it few days before

We also have the Magnusson Moss Act. Granted it can get murky concerning mods and warranty issues, but something like changed wheels would likely be straight forward and wouldn't result in warranty nullification under most circumstances.

3 years 60k when first out in ENGLAND don't no now I bought mine after end of its warranty and I tell you it cost the 1st owner mega money in service at fiat , you need your car serviced at fiat in the warranty and they skank you blind . I have invoices from the last owner that would make your eyes water, Service 280 and parts I think he never needed . On the last fiat SERVICE he had whats called a M O T all cars have to have 1 every year by law after they are 3 year old ,don't have 1 you cannot buy insurance and road tax .his last bill was near 400 from fiat on a car done 9,000 miles and on the MOT it recommended new brake pads next M O T , I had the car M O T at an independent garage and a service cost me 180 with the M 0 T that alone near 50 and the garage said my brake pads were fine SKANKING FIAT BUMS . Some cars like HYUDI have 7 years warranty but if you don't use them for service or miss 1 you warranty is not worth a crap, YOU PAY THOUSANDS IN SEVERVICE AND FAULSE parts in that 7 years , stuff that. DONT AMERICAN CARS GET , ROAD LEGAL TEST EVERY YEAR AFTER 3 YEAR OLD, IF NOT YOU MUST HAVE SOME DEATH TRAP CARS ON THE ROAD, IT INCLUDES IMMISSION TEST. FAIL THAT AND BIG TROUBLE

You won't get detonation from dp or intake. A tune could cause it but that would be an issue with his tuner. I feel like this guy wasn't running sufficient octane, didn't run appropriate plugs and packs. I doubt that he brings a lawyer in.

Did any of the parts have CARB Certifications?

Isn't CARB just a sticker for emissions compliance? If the intake caused detonation it would imply that the stock fuel system is already at its limits. From my years tuning Hondas with Hondata, removing cats or getting higher flow cats evens out the overall airflow so a car that would require more fuel because of a cat upgrade or an intake for optimum AFR, wouldn't need as much adjustment with both an intake and DP. In all cases and from my own logging the injectors on these cars aren't pushed to the max. IMO, if the intake and DP "tipped the AFR" beyond what the ECU could adjust for, the OE system was already failing pretty badly. This is exactly why I'm saying a tune is most likely the cause but that tune has NOT been proven.

I've never had a lean condition with any catless downpipe or v4 intake I've installed. This was the first....and last

don't tune cars under FIAT WARRANTY . you could loose the hole car not just parts, get a fire your insurance wont cover after market mods . unless you already told them and pay a higher premium .

if you install one of these "tunes", you really should put the car on a dynamometer and see what it's done.

Simply trusting these out of the box flashes that claim will add power need to still be verified for your application.
