Lots of grease on front right wheel / passenger door

Something I've noticed while cleaning my car. My front right wheels gives off a lot of grease, I clean my wheels every 2 weeks and by that time it's about caked with grease and the right passenger door has a bit of grease splashover. Just wondering what's going on here, it's under warrenty but like to know a bit about a repair before I bring it in.

I peaked under and saw the CV boot, looked good and didn't see any grease on the underside. Although I couldn't get a great view from the floor. Seems like it's coming from the calibper itself maybe.

I'm having them check the CV boots when I bring it in too.

The only thing that could come from the brake caliper is brake fluid and it doesn't have the same consistency as grease. The only thing that could actually throw a lot of grease in that area is a leaking CV boot. Get it checked before it could turn into a larger problem due to lack of grease in the CV boot.

I agree, sounds like a CV boot.

Will they replace wit ha CV boot that doesn't fail in 40k miles?

If the boot is compromised and leaking grease I would say it is defective and would be covered.

It may be obvious, but do not clean it off before you take it in. The tech will need to see it to diagnose the source.

Unfortunately, CV boots can be damaged by foreign material impacts, ie road debris striking it in which case they may deny a warranty claim. Be prepared to pay to have it repaired.

Hopefully it's a bad clamp or something that's not an external strike. Or worse still leaking brake fluid!
