    Radio Issues

So my 2014 Fiat started having radio issues today. I've restarted the car 3 times (including 5-10 minute breaks in between) and still no luck. Any thoughts?

How about disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a few minutes?

It should be. I purchased the 2014 vehicle on 12/31/2014. I may contact the studio to see. It appears to act normal today, but I may still take it in, just to be on the safe side.

What is the easiest way to determine if I have the newest firmware?

If this a uConnect update, you may be able to do it yourself.

You can force the radio to restart by holding in the volume and enter buttons simultaneously until the screen blanks out.

When I enter the VIN of my current 500L I get a message that the software is up to date. No mention of version #. Very poor messaging as it doesn't give version info.

When I enter the VIN my previous 500L I get the same message as you did. That this new version is now available.

I find this whole uConnect update system to be disorganised between what is actually available and what FIAT CSRs tell you. Back in September when I called the toll free number to see if there may be a newer version other than what the uConnect website listed as 13.49, which I already had , I was told no. However, an update was to be released by the end of the year. I was told to take the car to the dealer. I did that on 19/September. They ordered a new radio.

Last week I took the car to have them replace the radio. This new radio has 15.05.

So, my frustration and surprise with FIAT and uConnect is why couldn't the CSR be told that a new version of software had already been released. I could have downloaded it and flashed the unit myself. Saving me time, the dealer is 70 miles away, and FIAT money in the replacement of a radio that most likely had nothing wrong with it.

I'm not even sure what the bug fixes are with 15.05 vs. 13.49.
