Hey guys, doverosx made a google doc about openflash self tuning. Like an openflash wiki. What the tables are. What they are doing, explaining various ratios used. What you need to log and how to translate that information into positive changes in your ecu mapping. Tips and best practices. I'm gonna sit down sunday amd make.my contribution to it. Then I'll link it here. I'll leave it do dover to start a new thread if he wants since it really his effort. The goal is that anything with something to add will do so and it will improve as we learn more. We are both novices as well. But have a pretty good start. Hope to grow the open source community as it really is lacking so that a person with no experience has probably no chance of even getting started tuning their own car. We aim to change that and make everyone involved benefit from a better car. So it should be up in at least it first version tomorrow. Add yourself and start editing if you have something to add. We hope to pick up a few lurkers. So if you quiet on the boards but have stuff to add, please do so.

Hey, anyone self tuning their open flash send me a pm. I fully intend to have what isnt completed (mostly torque tables and a few things about linearzation of impulsive boost) competed tomorrow sometimes, but I'd like anyone who can actually contribute to have their say before the first version is posted. It's available to everyone, I just want people who might have something to ad to have a look and a chance to correct, more clearly explain, or improve in any way. Right now, it doesnt have examples, screenshots, practical examples, case study, etc, but we intend to add these. Jist trying to get a basic overview of what all the maps mean and do to people who look at all that stuff and think whaaaaaat? But pm.me so I can give you a link to make your contributions.

Doverosx has identified a few more mystery maps. Sorry for delays, but we upped our ambition on this and trying to provide a basically complete full guide right off the start. A relative novice to tuning with a sound understanding of fuel injection and how an ECU works should be able to use this and custom tine their car with few issues with patience and dedication.

Yea the problem is so ma y redundant tables. For example you have a base timing, then 5 generic timing tables unnamed in the file. Well, we've had good results as I've known from ecmtitanium index which was optimal timing which interpolated onto base table. But then we were clueless on the rest. To add complexity, you Hve to figure out which is sport and non sport, this is for every table type. So there is a lot of exploring to do and it probably jist to overwhelming for some people. Especially if they arent comfortable with all this to begin with. Doverosx is the man. Since we have started collaborating and sharing info, he has spent a lot of time on this stuff. It definatly wouldnt be coming together without him. The google doc for everyone to use was totally his idea and he has done most of the content as well.

And then you add in a different PCM revision/configuration such as Automatic, 500 Turbo, or both, and different software revisions which move the tables around as well as add or delete them.... Good luck, I say. The OFT was promising but not practical unless you have one of the more common revisions.

That actually matters more for Shiv when he creates the xdf from his DAMOS. He is consistent with table definitions for the end user.

The ec eurodrive was promising as well. But basing a products superiority on bad info is impractical. We have 2013 and 2015 covered at moment. Most stuff is identical. A few tables are scaled slightly different that's it. In fact, I think so far.ive found one table on the 2015 that was half sized. AMD since it was 20x1 vs. 10x1 , it's not even important. 90% can be applied to all marelli 8gmxx ecus. AMD the principles themselves apply to just about amy drive by wire modern ecm. The torque strategy on this ecm is exceptionally sophisticated compared to many. Amazing the factory tune is so unrefined because they could have made car much smoother.
