I am not worried about increasing range, just not negatively impacting range too much. There are some nice wheels for sale locally on craigslist, but they are 8" wide, and I know I don't want to go that wide (or as wide as the rubber needed for an 8" rim), so I already know I'm not buying those.
Thin, low rolling resistance - your comment made me think about the i3 I saw on the road the other day and I immediately thought about them being rubber-wrapped wagon wheels (155/60/20)

I wasn't expecting any exact impact on range, I know you are also making other changes that might also impact range, but I was hoping for at least some idea. Probably not going to get even an inkling from 5-10 mile drives. Oh well, no harm in asking, right?

ANY change you make to stock tires BESIDES going thinner, LRR tires will negatively impact range.
That's my point.

We will be testing several suspension options that allow us to lower the ride of the car, improve the handling while still retaining a relatively comfortable ride.

We now have it dialed in and have put a new set of custom springs for the 500e in to production. They will offer a nice drop yet retain a decent ride and improve the handling.

How much lower does it make the car? I already scrape here and there. I wonder if this will make it super hard to drive around LA.

I had been asking the owner about that as well, he began explaining it to me when he suddenly just stopped and said "You know what, let's go for a ride!"

500 MADNESS as most of you know is right in the middle of what some what may call a small industrial area in Signal Hill. There's quite a few rough roads, dips, construction and even some nice roads. Let's just say we took her for a spin with some enthusiasm and the only thing I could hear were the tires searching for traction on initial acceleration and my phone going off as I received text messages - This vehicle is incredibly quiet right out of the box, but even after lowering it close to 2" there is no scraping. We haven't experienced any bottoming out, scraping or anything along those lines.

What are my options for remounting same tires on better looking wheels?

Next would be a combo of wheels and tires at a moderate price. I am looking for a cosmetic change.

I already have a car that eats through $1800 tires every other month. No. I am not joking. LOL.

What would look good on my car? Range isn't an issue for me.

Sorry we took so long to respond DaveN007, we had to pick ourselves back up off the ground after you said you were running through $1800 tires every other month! As far as remounting the same tires, are you still on the factory 15 inch wheels? If you are, I would highly recommend just going up 1-2 inches to a "16 or "17.

My Z06 has seen a lot of track days since I got it. SuperSports and Cup2s last 4-5 days. I need to move to slicks or decide which child doesn't get to go to college.

How much does a setup like that cost with install? I live fairly close to signal hill. I just worry I can't make it back home after I get down there. haha I'm coming from Arcadia area.
