Perfect day of driving yesterday - congrats to Team Shake & Bake on the Autocross overall win, but Team Hollywood is still better looking!

All my driving dynamics exterior videos from the morning session are upside down, guess I'll be hitting up the "How to fix your videos" thread...

You can use various software packages to invert the video. A quick one for PCs running Windows 7 and above (not sure about Vista) is to use Windows Live Movie Maker to rotate and save the videos in WMV format.

I tried using VLC (which can also rotate videos) but the interior / exterior videos are interlaced into a single file and it doesn't seem that only half the frames can be rotated easily - at this point I'm probably not going to invest too much more time in it.

I suppose another alternative would be to convert the videos and then rotate. It's been a while since I mucked with the original files but I believe the originally supplied software converts (to MPG?). That was easy for me to rotate in Live Movie Maker.

Thanks for the reply but I think we're talking apples/oranges, I could use VLC to do the rotate easily except it's not the whole video that needs to be rotated. Also, the rendered videos from the application are fine, the track overly, data, etc... are fine - only the exterior view of the video is inverted and it appears to be interlaced with the correct view from the interior cam.

Here's the screenshot when I open the _native_ video from the directory in VLC - both the interior exterior videos open simultaneously and play synchronously - just the exterior is inverted.

And it carries over to the output video in RaceKeeper:

I think they simply had the camera mounted upside down - prior to my last run one of the pit road guys jumped and fiddled with the camera and the final video has both interior/exterior in the proper orientation. Plus, it was only the Driving Dynamics videos inverted, the autocross and head-2-head are fine too.

I'll move this over to the video thread and see if anyone there has ideas.
