Ya ya I know.... "Drive Faster than Yesterday"

I would love to take our rides up to the Dragon, I really would. It's quite the haul to get up there from the suburbs of Houston. Maybe next year....

The Gucci Lounge in white came with brushed chrome accents, whether it was a hardtop or convertible. Including the bumperettes.

My brother brought up a good point. He's logged over 600,000 miles driving, traveling for pleasure, not work related. And there are times that the regular chrome will catch the sun just right and get you in the eye.

I don't mind a chrome flash around town, because I'll be hitting another turn or curve in a few moments. But if you're on a long driving trip, and on a road that is straight...for hours...you get that chrome glint for the entire time the sun is in the position relative to the car's interior chrome. And his car is a hardtop, no sunroof, no convertible.

Does the brushed chrome take care of that kind of reflected sunlight? I'd think it would be especially nice to cut down on reflections in the convertible, since you will get a lot more sun.

Are there any parts that are still regular chrome in the Abarth GQ?

I'm asking because I'm going to be moving to a sunny area, and I have the sunroof in my regular 500. It's been so long since I've been in a sunny summer area that gets warm, I'm thinking ahead a bit.

And I'm sure there are oodles of 500C owners that have a commute or pleasure trip where they get a lot of glare off the chrome pieces. They might be able to reduce reflections by switching some of the trim parts to the brushed chrome.

The part that bothered my brother the most was the center of the steering wheel. He doesn't have a Fiat. It's another brand. Is the steering wheel center of the Abarth GQ all brushed chrome? If so, can you post a pic?

And are you going to give us any hints on what you have planned for the pair of GQs?
Andree (master of all Fiat option knowledge), you are correct on all accounts.

The only chrome inside the GQs are on the airbag. The reason for this is because of the fiat logo.

On the outside of the car, the front and rear Fiat logos, door handles, rear hatch handle and front "spears" are also chrome. I would recommend for GQ owners (if you aren't changing them all up like we are) to replace the exterior chrome pieces with satin. Andree is correct that the White Gucci 500s came with satin door handles, rear hatch handle and emblems. That would be a very nice touch. Madness has everything to do it and they are about the same price as buying from the studio. Just a thought for the other GQ owners out there.

As for revealing anything, give us a few more weeks. We should have a lot done and at least unveil one or two of the fleet.

If the window sticker says sport muffler, it's quiet. If it says "sport tuned dual exhaust", it's mufflerless like an Abarth.

I realize this is a really old post, but is there any way to find out whether I have the sport muffler or sport tuned dual exhaust?

Look underneath. There should or shouldn't be a muffler. That'll tell you (No Muffler Suitcase = Sport-tuned Dual Exhaust).
