Go Fast Bits GFB DV+ Review

Here is my short review on the GFB DV+ diverter valve upgrade:

I have to say, this diverter valve is amazing to say the least! The capabilities it has to hold boost in the upper rpm range is unbelievable. Where the car would typically drop boost to 10-12 psi around 6,000 rpm's, it's now dropping to around 15-16 psi.

Throttle response has improved greatly with the DV+. In the lower rpm's, I'm now building boost around 1,800 rpm's versus the 2,300 rpm range witht the OEM diverter valve. Taking off in 2nd gear was incredibly difficult and required me to ride the clutch. Now, taking off in 2nd gear is effortless and without strain on the clutch.

Another big thing to point out is when driving normal, and I would lightly lift my foot from the accelerator to slighty decrease speed, the car would drop all boost. When I would then press on the gas pedal the car had to build all the boost all over. After installing the DV+, I can gradually decrease boost pressure when I lift my foot from the accelerator without loosing all boost. This makes accelerating faster since there is boost pressure stored in the intake system waiting to be used!

The part was really easy to install, which would've only take me about 20 minutes to finish if I wasn't taking photos during the install. The parts are made of high end quality material and appears to be very durable. The only thing that I would suggest they change is the location of their logo print (this may or may not be applicable to the Fiat depending on how visible the part is in your engine bay). Once the part is installed, the visible graphics are for the model number. I personally would rather show off the GFB DV+ logo when displayed, but maybe that's just a personal preference. (GFB says they are changing the location of the logo / model number on the part to make GFB DV+ visible when installed!)

Overall, I would say this would've probably been my first mod made to my car, had this part been available to the market, simply for the fact of the improvement of the drivability of the car.

Thanks for taking the time to read my review!

I agree with that review. Ive found better take-off from a stand still, improved throttle response, better boost hold and more accurate holding. What I mean by that is If I want a certain amount of boost, I just find it on the gauge and it stays there. While i was able to do this with the stock diverter, it wasnt as rock steady and took more pedal control to keep it there.

Yep, they were correct. Granted, doesnt really matter for the Fiat guys since its basically hidden under the radiator support.
