Cardboard and duct tape. Cut the cardboard to fit through hole in an up/down fashion and tape it in place. That way when you pull the drain plug it hits off the cardboard and falls down.

Didnt want to remove the crossmember so i just folded a piece over it in a triangle shape when I do my oil changes and it just hits off then falls into the drain pan.

Boomba...talked with Toby@HPSI last week going over measurements, slopes and angles regarding the Cavallino front splitter and skid plate compatibility.

The skid plate should fit nice and snug under the Cavallino. There might be the need for longer screws on the lateral ears of the skid plate since it will have to go through the skid plate, through the Cavallino and through the front bumper cover into the front wheel well fender lining. But otherwise, the skid plate should fit with the Cavallino nicely.

Like Greg said, I will be in the first run of the skid plates and will test fit it for perfect fit but after checking all the measurements with HPSI last week, there should be no problems. Regarding the Trofeo front chin, I do not know for sure as we don't know where the mounting points are of the Trofeo to the front bumper especially if someone has the add on diffuser in the middle part of that Trofeo like in the picture you posted.

Thanks Ron. The bolts that secure the front portion of the skid-plate to the body are extra long so you should be able to retain the skid-plate bolts.

Just install a Fumoto drain valve. You can swap the straight nipple for a 90 degree one. Makes oil changes mess free! No more hot oil on your hands when to remove the drain plug. Just reach up and turn the lever. you can add a piece of hose to it and run it out past the end of the skid plate of you wanted to as well.

I would of probably only cut half the cut out completely out, and used some slits to allow a bend at the back part of the cutout to deflect the oil down toward the pan. That's what I would of done probably in a one off. However; it would be a good option to make something out of plastic that could just clip into the opening to allow the same thing. Otherwise I'd still have to remove it to do oil changes to clean up the mess. Just some food for thought Chris.

Just stepped out the front door and there was the skid plate! A great looking piece. I will get it on tomorrow if I have the time. Had the Abarth on the lift today to rotary the tires. If Fedex had just come earlier it would already be on.
