Thank you BidDaddySRT, while I was shopping for my new 2016 Abarth I had occasion to drive manuals and automatics. Fortunately I read you posting during the process and your review helped me choose the 6-speed for the many reasons you mentioned. Thanks again!

After searching the nation, I found my Abarth at a FIAT Dealership 35 minutes from my home with 11,000 miles on the odometer and still under factory warranty = SOLD !! Drove it home yesterday and scored my first Sunday drive on the local twists and turns.Addicted to 2017 Abarth- Top

Previously owned 2008 VW R, 2005 GTI, 2015 GTI - all with DSG transmissions, a recent drive in a 2015 Abarth auto revealed that the Aisin auto is better and convinced me to search for a 2016 Abarth auto with new dash & entertainment centers. Will advise of progress. Thanks to the many postings describing their experiences with the Abarth auto - great info!Addicted to 2017 Abarth- Top

Fell in love with the Abarth in 2014 after seeing a used 2012 red one at a local dealer...I walked over and looked inside and saw it was a stick and asked the guy if they came in auto, he said no...then he started it up and said take a ride. Damn!!! I was in LOVE!!!! couple years later I find a brand new 2015 grey now with automatic BEAUTY with this new LCD dash color COOOOOL...I bought it and never quite felt it... I thought the total boredom of just pressing the pedal and the paddle shifting? lol right I think it even shifts for you if you over rev in manual mode...anyways after a year I got rid of it.
I bought it for 23k sold it a year later for 16k over the years I still love them and admire them ... and last year a 2012 RED Manual 25k miles pops up in front of my screen while I was searching for boobies....it was fate!!! Now I am a proud owner of a red manual baby... and I LOVE IT SOOOOO MUCH short shifting wahhh....wahhhhhhhh, wahhhhhhh OMG!!!!!!!!!! I blush zipping through the canyons... now I am not saying the auto is lame.. I am saying I owned 2 completely different vehicles... My 2015 auto daily car so auto kind of was a must. Also I traveled very long trips in it. I made it more comfortable, sound deadened the panels, better stereo etc.. But this 2012 red beauty, mods, cracks and pops from the exhaust, a tune, some coil overs and stiffen front and rear... etc what pure Fing Joy before i die!- Top
