Ever thought about moving east? You end up paying twice as much over here. With your rates it's tempting to throw all the "stuff" in the car and drive out.:-)

Hello Norcal. I have the Bilstein coilovers. they come with a new bumpstop for the rears. I find it harsh. would you be able to make a new bumpstop to replace the bilstein ones?

I do not know why shops or resellers do not cut the bumpstops when you install these. Every fiat I lower with bilsteins i always cut the rear bumpstops. If you dont will ride very harsh.

I made a comment, but I don't think they are active much on youtube.

Will the bump stops actually make contact before the shock bottoms out? I've read the konis are the same height as stock and there right up says not to lower more than 35mm, which is only 1.3 inches. I believe stock shocks have an 11 inch compressed height. I've been looking for some shorter shocks, but best I could find was 10.5 inches compressed.

Since no one is going to make shorter aftermarket shocks for this car, except Koni and since theirs appear to have the same stroke as stock, someone should make some shock extensions for the lower mount. it should be a pretty easy part to fab with the right shop. I'd have done it all ready if i had the necessary equipment.

Yes bumpstops get hit before shocks would bottom out. Tested this all when i was working on the bumpstops

doing shock extenders is not good on this car Would make it have more of a angle by bringing it down and angle it back more. If the shocks mounted backwards up top like the 00-15 GM suvs i lower then extenders would be perfect.

I had energy suspension bump stops and kept bottoming out the outside shock when making a hard left turn and hitting a sharp rise in the road, that's why I asked. Yours appear to be the same height. I cut the stock bump stops down to the plastic and trimmed the energy suspension to keep the shocks from bottoming out. A 9.5-13.5 shock would be ideal i think. I contacted Koni to see if their shocks are actually 11 inches compressed. Can't see how they could be and still work with the Neuspeed springs. They'd have 1/2 inch of travel.

That was fast, they said they are 9.9 inch compressed, so they'd still have 1.5 inches of travel. Looks like I might have to get the konis. Just measured the stock shocks and they are actually 10 inches compressed, so i had some bad info.
