Question on these. On my last car, keeping the stock springs or whatever springs that they had on the car, going from the stock bilstein shocks to koni yellows, the car would actually be lowered another 1/2". I havent seen anyone mention this if it happens with the rears or not with those and would be curious if that would happen with the new front struts. Its a debate that I found all over the internet when searching for answers. Some say that it was due to the design of the shock itself vs the bilstein/other brand or that the koni was in and itself shorter overall. Emails to koni said that it was due to the lower pressure of the yellows vs the higher pressure stock bilsteins but suspension "gurus" always have their own theories.

no there is no lowered height since spring perch is in same area in front and in rear ive had no drop on any cars ive installed the konis on and ive done many local installs.

This is what I surmised in the other thread. If you see how the gas chambers work in a Bilstein, it's sort of like the effect of squeezing a balloon, so the gas has no place to go but to push up. Since this is while the car is at rest, it may not be an issue.

Hi Tony, I am in for a set for the front.
But I have a question! I hear that Koni make the shock body bigger than stock one. will that be a issue with the 215 tire setup. because right now my tire is less than 1/2 inch maybe less from the shock body.
