FIAT on the Dragon event April 10-12, 2015 – Mark your calendars!

Ok, now that FIAT on the Dragon 2014 is in the history books, time to start looking toward the next one. Mark your calendars for April 10-12, 2015 at the Tally Ho Inn.

My goal for next year is to attract 100 cars! Can we do it? I hope to start attracting more of the vintage FIAT cars. There is no reason they should not be enjoying the fun with us. Spread the word about how much fun you had and make this a must go to event. Next year, we will have some upgrades and if the numbers support it, i hope to have a vendor area and a grassy parking area for those who want to relax more than drive. Fun, fun!

Be sure to get over to the FIAT USA page and talk about our event so they know what we are doing here.

    Sweet!

I know at least a few won't be staying at this location again but I can't wait to get back this fall and next spring!

Was ther a problem with the lodging? If so, I would like to know about it so I can address it now. Obviously since the Tally Ho Inn only has about 50 rooms, we will need to spread out some. I have a plan for this. We will all be close and the field will be available for parking.
    Thanks

In all honesty, wouldnt stay there again. If it were (for example) a Best Western or something similar with a decent sized meeting room would be great, but 45 & windy trying to eat bbq sucks......

In regards to the hotel, I mentioned the shower deal - and dude at counter argued with me and told me I was wrong......at a BW if I had an issue, customer service will fix it and I get reward points. I'm just saying, the first lady I dealt with was great; dude sucked and I can't sleep on that bed again, I could jump on it and not dent it.
    Mods I don't have:
    cage
    stripped interior
    chassis braces
    cam
    big turbo
    new internals
    ....pretty much everything else

    Sponsors:
    Eurocompulsion
    AAD
    Cipher Auto

    Pending:
    Megan Racing (coil-overs)

As Matt stated the shower was terrible, almost NO pressure and then it'd get a little, very random. Bed, well Matt did not think it comfortable, I was exhausted so was less an issue but there are definitely better options. Brian left and went down the road because of the shower (think that was the main issue) and I know he won't stay there again. I appreciate they accommodated us don't get me wrong but if we can go another route that'd be a welcome change to many I am sure.

Bed is not the best, but I've slept in much worse conditions Shower worked fine in our room. Maybe you guys got lucky and tried to shower all at same time?

Being Ukrainian, I can't argue with you; I've never been to that side of the pond, but I've met many from there. I don't mean that sarcastically, or being a smart a$$ and not being rude.

And no we weren't in a group shower , I took a shower with my car being the only in the parking lot and it took me 5 minutes to get wet.....I weigh 120, not much of me to get wet.

The larger deal to me, $88/night for a "deluxe" room - I've stayed in better rooms for $50/night. Ill leave it at that.

The only issue I had with the hotel was the hot water didn't last very long in the shower. Once I figured that out, no problem. The inn certainly can't be blamed for the rather unseasonably cool weather on Saturday. As far as accommodations near the Dragon, it's reasonably priced with gas station and car wash nearby and I would happily stay there again.

Lets say I traveled a lot and now do the same, but due to work. Worst spots to sleep would be on the floor and on the ground and in hot bus(no ac) full of people Now I have Platinum or Gold memberships in most hotel networks, so I usually get premium rooms without any charge

My water was fine and I had a deluxe room. I was happy with the room and I admit I've had a nicer room for less (holiday inn express) it was smaller. Ive also had rodents in a room for more (ohio somewhere, long story) There was nothing that made my room bad. It was just very plain which is fine with me.
