Resurrecting a dead thread here. I realize there is also a MN CnC thread but this one has more eyes on it.

We are one month out from the first Cars and Coffee MN. Anyone interested in meeting? Looks like WTFiat and Rustbucket are consistently active, 3 Fiats would be a better showing than most months. =] Not sure on any other MN/WI folks.

I've never tried to get IN the show, just to walk around it. Let me know if I should show up early or just bum around with friends like I usually do.

The Kannonball guys typically gather in the secret cove behind the main office right? Don't think I've seen any Fiats in the past, but my attendance isn't 100% either. I haven't done Wheels of Italy, I'll put it on my calendar for this year though! I'm a converted VAG fanboy so the only specialty show I have been to in Chanhassen is the DE one and I loved it (because I love DE cars and don't love the massive crowds associated with CnC).

I've never tried getting into the show, what all is involved? I always assumed you just show up early enough and try to park in the correct continent. Then again I used to drive a TDI so why would I have tried to get in? My wife drives a John Cooper Works Paceman, we joke that it would be fun to bring it to CnC to meet the 2 other people who think they are cool.

Edit: Just looked at the map and the cove as I called it is titled the VIP Courtyard. Derp!

The show is every first Saturday (with exceptions for golf tournaments and such) of each month in the summer. Held at the AutoMotorPlex in Chanhassen. (a significant hike from WI). If you can't make April you have six more chances not including Wheels of Italy.

I typically show up 7:30 - 8:00 but might show up early and try to get my car into the show for a change of pace.

                    Event Info HERE.

I have been to CnC on 2 different occasions. I was able to park inside both times. The first time I was let right in the second time I was told to go park in the lot. As I drove away from the gate he heard the exhaust and came over to say he didn't realize it was an Abarth and said I could go park inside. Both times I had the only Abarth there. So without the VIP pass you might get to park inside or not. Depends on who's working the gate. Get there early as it fills up fast.

The wheels of Italy show is one of my favorite shows I have ever been to. It is not the largest of cars shows but it is a great show. Last year it got better because they picked up some more vendors selling Italian food and merchandise. There is also some reserved parking just behind lot for non Italian cars worthy of being seen.

Alright! 4-1-17 is officially on the 10-day forecast. 50°F and cloudy with a 7mph breeze. But you know, it's MN, in 10 days it might either be 80° or snowing, forecasts are useless.

If it's actually going to be that mild I'll probably show up and play ameatur photographer with the others. Any colder and I'll likely wait for the sun to warm things up a bit and show up later. (This has the added benefit of not requiring me to detail my car Friday night)

Either way I plan to be there and will keep my eyes peeled for my fellow Fiat family. I'll be the kid.

Hey friends. MN C&C was cancelled for May and is moving to Shakopee for June.

In the spirit of moving, I'll quit posting C&C things over here.

                          ....starting....
