1957 pricing, soon to be in Studios!

"Today the FIAT brand opened orders for the 2014 Fiat 500 1957 Edition, arriving in FIAT studios nationwide in late spring. Pricing for this well-equipped limited-production model starts at $20,400 U.S. MSRP, just $1,900 more than a base Fiat 500 Lounge."

    Sport suspension:
"The Fiat 500 1957 Edition includes a sport-tuned suspension for improved handling, 16" forged aluminum wheels with a retro body color design, throwback "FIAT" badging and a premium Marrone (brown) and Avorio (ivory) leather interior.
The model is available in three classic exterior colors: Bianco (white), Verde Chiaro (light green) and exclusive Celeste (celestial blue). For a two-tone look, Verde Chiaro and Celeste exteriors are paired with a signature Bianco painted roof and mirror caps."

Just thought I'd place this here as well. Looks really great. We are really excited for this and hoping to get one in ASAP. Seems very classy. Loving the old school badging personally

Ya know, I'm thinking (oh, yuck, I hope that's peanut butter on the keyboard) that this site can help you a lot.

Chris, the administrator and owner puts up some great info on the black pages:
    http://www.fiat500usa.com/2014/03/ne...n-pricing.html

Which is linked to from his post in the forum:
    http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showt...cing-Announced!

Always click the "read about it here" link for more details.

This thread was from when it was first introduced, there are a couple of threads merged into one:
    http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showt...on%94-to-Debut!

Lots of things for you to read, and then to point out to your customers. Some videos posted of the car in the thread too.

Things useful to you could be adding on the retro-style wheels to a Pop, Sport, or Lounge in the Bianco or Verde Chiaro for a similar retro look. The wheels apparently won't fit the Abarth. Not sure about the Turbo. And the white retro wheels would look nice on most of the colors with the Avorio interior accent, like yellow or red.

So people who like the retro style but may have already purchased or want a Pop can still have the retro look via the wheels. They're in the Accessory catalog, but aren't listed in colors. I wonder if they have to be painted. That's something you can probably check on, and let people here know if they do have to be painted.

Here's the starter post for the Accessories catalog:
    http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showt...sories-Catalog

Click over to view the new stuff. They now have front and rear splash guards for the Pop, Lounge. The wheels are in there too.

i love the car.. just wondering will it only come one way or can a few minor things be changed... like an auto tran (bad leg here) as well as heated seats?

The pricing Chris posted doesn't show an automatic transmission option:
    http://www.fiat500usa.com/2014/03/ne...n-pricing.html

It's a Lounge 500, and with the leather package on the regular Lounge, heated seats are included:
Driver and Passenger Front Seatback Pockets
    Heated Front Seats
    Leather-Trimmed Bucket Seats
    Rear Park Assist
    Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror

    Lounge: http://www.fiatusa.com/en/500/lounge/

If it turns out they won't be making the automatic, you can create your own similar model. There is already the Bianco and Verde Chiaro Lounge available, with the two-tone seats in brown and ivory. Scroll down on the above Lounge link to view the interior.

If you chose the Bianco Lounge, you'd have the white dash panel already. The roof would be white too. And then you could add the wheels and a new center cover on the steering wheel.

You wouldn't have the lighter door panels, but the armrest would still be brown.

I have a Verde Chiaro Lounge with the brown/ivory interior. Yes, I'd have liked a little bit more lightness in my interior, with the lighter door panels, but if it meant I'd have had to pick a stick shift, I'd have to pass. I have too many pain problems to deal with a manual, and the automatic is wonderful.

This means you could pick up a current Lounge with the automatic. And even have a cloth Lounge done in custom leather, like here:
    http://www.fullertonfiat.com/new/FIA...258210476f.htm

You can see the cloth has the ivory headrests at the Lounge link. Having the leather done means you can have the upper part of the seat done in the brown too. I'm sure they could do the light "500" stitching, but don't know if they could do the white stitching on the seats.

Edit, OH! If you get the Premium Cloth seats, it won't have the heated seats installed, you can have that added. This is another one, with the leather, but it's Rosso leather:
    http://www.fullertonfiat.com/new/FIA...1a4d6e0d7e.htm

That's what I was looking for in the first place, regular glossy Bianco, with the Rosso/Avorio interior.

I was thinking about the wheels and I realized that they're 16"; the Pop & Lounge are 15". So anyone thinking of getting the retro wheels would have to get 16" tires as well, and is looking at about $2800 minimum plus taxes & installation. Maybe it's O.K., it's a specialty item. They sure look nice and I like the white mirrors too; can't find them anywhere 'though. I think that people like me who bought a Pop would not spend $3000 on wheels/tires, but for those who bought a Lounge, it would make more sense because you would already have the glass roof, nicer seats, fog lamps, body side moldings, etc. Then on the other hand, if money is no object, one of the nice things about a 500, is you can customize it to your liking. My five cents (inflation you know!).

Looking at prices, the 1957 Edition is $1,900 more than a base Fiat 500 Lounge and comes with the leather and the wheels, so it is actually a competitive price. The leather seat package is $1,700 alone.

I agree with you. I think the pricing on the 1957 Edition is great. My point was in upgrading the Pop wheels to the 1957 Edition wheels. The Pop & Lounge have 15" wheels and tires, so not only would you have to get the 1957 wheels but the tires as well. I have yet to see the Verde Chiaro version of the 1957 Edition. I am busting with anticipation!
