    Fiat 500L TSB 21-008-13- P0571 BRAKE SWITCH 1 PERFORMANCE

    Owners of a 2014 Fiat 500L may experience a check engine light with a
    P0571 code. If that is the case there is a fix out that involves reflashing the transmission control module.
    Code P0571 normally has to do with brake switch performance.

    MIL Illumination - DTC P0571 -

    OVERVIEW:
    This bulletin involves flashing the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

    MODELS:
    2014 (BF) 500L

    SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
    A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp
    (MIL)illumination. Upon further investigation the Technician may find the following
    Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) has set P0571.

    DIAGNOSIS:
    If the customer describes the symptom or if the technician finds the DTC, perform the
    Repair Procedure.
