Paint Code for 1957 Edition "Celestial Blue"?

Looking to match the blue hue that will be offered on the 1957 Edition 500, and on the 16" retro forged wheels.

Does anyone have connections at Chrysler, and/or could get the paint code for Celestial Blue?

Is Celestial Blue a marketing name for a pre-existing color, perhaps, or is it a new shade?

    Thanks in advance!

Celestial blue is a classic Fiat 500 color
Appears to be the only shade of that type of blue used in 1957
    see:

    color name
    Celeste crociera -- Cruise sky

    paint code
    472

    dates used
    10-1957 / 03-1958
I spent most of my money on fast cars, guitars and pretty women. I somehow managed to waste the rest of it.

    Thank you!

That's helpful, and really cool to see.

I wonder if they're bringing back the actual color, or if they've tuned it for this application. As a car designer myself, I'd be a bit surprised to see a company revive an old color without adjusting it for modern use.

    Will have to investigate more.

I would imagine the paint color will be identical, just done with modern technology and chemicals. I'm sure you will be safe with that code. Mr. Fiat knows a ton on the classics so I would trust his judgement on this one.

There are a bunch of Fiat historical paint chips labeled as "Verde Chiaro" and I have no idea if any one of them is identical to my own shade. Three on the link from MrFiat. And we haven't yet seen the Verde Chiaro in the 1957 edition, it may not be the current shade at all, but one of the historical colors. That's why you want to get the code right. They're calling the color just "Celeste", with no modifier.

We don't know if the pics were photoshopped here: http://www.fiat500usa.com/2013/11/ne...-to-debut.html
And the article says "three vintage-looking colors".

I know you want to be the first kid on the block to have the look, but if the wheels don't match, you'll end up having to paint them too. Are the wheels online, they should have a paint code associated with them.

Picked up some touch up paint in Celeste Blue and the code on the bottle is KBH, appears to be an exact match. Hope that helps someone.
