    I would ship those springs back and ask for the 'right' ones that are shaped like the green ones. I bet Forge would be Ok with that request.
    I will just stop by and see them the next time I'm over there. I have wondered the same thing about the yellow spring, especially since dropping 1-2 psi from the front mount. Colder more dense air at a higher psi, yes please!

    Just unscrew the hex head screws on the back. I leave one on each side and unscrew them at equal intervals just to be safe when the back pops open from the spring tension. Putting it back together I do the same thing and then tighten them in a crossing pattern like you would a wheel. Probably overkill, but I like things done properly.

    Sounds like Forge changed things around. Your green one does look far stronger. Yellow has been brilliant on my end. My car is still adjusting to it so I'm peaking at 18 then settling into a stable 15 until drop off occurs at 5000+ which tapers down to 13. I'm back to letting the solenoid decide my boost levels. I was using a MBC with my stock actuator before. I'm just playing around for now. Trying to learn about the way our actuators react to adjustment.

    I'm shocked my car hasn't dropped into limp mode from the 18 psi spikes. Anything above 15 PSI on the manual boost controller would trigger limp mode and sometimes an over boost code depending on how it was set. That said, the manual boost controller did provide a more stable boost profile. It would hold that 14-15 straight to red line.

    I am right there with Musicsurf and Shagghie. I have the larger FWGA and I replaced the springs as well with a drop in performance. I reinstalled the original FWGA spring that came with the unit, the tihick green one, and I will reinstall the FWGA this evening and reset my ECU and do the 80 mile under 4k and no Sport Button and then see what happens. I will keep you posted.

    I'm curious to know what your actuator looks like. When did you buy it and who did you buy it from?

    Mine has the boost line on the side. I ordered it from 500 Madness about a month ago. I spoke to the guys at Forge after the green spring would not hold more than 10-12 PSI. They sent me the yellow to try (for free I might add) and all was good.

    Thank you opiateESP, this spring looks like one that Forge sent me. The green one I have is much larger and thicker gauge than that mine looks like the one Musicsurf has. Thank you for sharing anyway.

    That's what I was afraid of. I have a feeling Madness is selling the actuator for the euro T-jet.

    Maybe. The unit works well though. It appears that the green spring was the problem. I called Madness when the actuator wouldn't hold more that 10-12 PSI and I was told I installed it wrong... meanwhile I had two mechanics standing beside me listening on speaker phone shaking their heads at what they were hearing. They told me to hang up on the guy and call Forge. I should have spoken to Joseph@Madness instead of the random I spoke to (Joseph is a rad guy, very helpful and knows his 500's). I was in a rush and about to drive 4600 KM so I needed an immediate solution. Forge told me to re-install the stock actuator and mailed the yellow spring to my west coast address (and it was here waiting for me on arrival). I'm going to reach out to Joseph to find out if perhaps I do have the wrong actuator. Wasn't this an issue in the past? I thought this was resolved.

    Another reference point, these are the spring rates from the UK actuator.

    green = 5 -10 psi
    yellow = 9 -15 psi
    blue = 14 -18 psi
    red = 17 -20 psi
