    Un-Official Mechanical Boost Gauge Peak/Sustained Boost Registry

    Now that we have some real mechanical boost gauge options out there, I'd like to start a thread that simply logs people's peak and sustained boost levels that they are seeing, along with any hardware/software mods that would directly contribute to those numbers and the turbo model (1446, 1448, or upgraded X)

    Example:


    21 Peak
    19 Sustained
    Turbo: 1446
    HW Mods: CAI, BOV, WGA, FMIC, Check Valve Mod, etc.
    SW: MM ECM Setting #2


    Hoping this will get us some benchmarking real-world boost levels, and also help tell the story on how much boost is leaked by the stock SMIC plumbing, the evac system, etc. And then also be able to see how the ECU reacts to HW/SW mods, too. I'd kick us off, but haven't installed my ATM BG yet!

      19.7 Sustained ( i think at least)
      Turbo: 1446
      HW Mods: HCI CAI, Check Valve Mod, RRM Hi Flow DP (wrapped with titanium heat wrap)
      Data System: Torque Pro
      Gear used: 3rd and 4th
      Octane: 92
      Elevation: Unknown but the ocean is only about 3 miles away


      Now i did see sustained PSI of 19.9 when I was catless with peaks in the 20.?? range maybe even higher. I have not tried in 1st or second gear while logging with ESC off and may see a higher PSI.

      I added data system used for logging and what gear the pull was in.

          I just had my car on a dyno and we pulled boost as well so I will post mine.

          Not sure of turbo and I'm not near my car.

                      they all have a gt1446 model number but there is more than one part number that lists as that model. the newer ones have a different a/r ratio on the intake housing. no real difference. just a different/newer casting.

                            Had something interesting happen to me yesterday. I was ringing out fourth getting on the freeway and at about 5500 RPM my boost suddently cut back from 22psi to 18, it was somewhat jolting. Im 90% positive i was only at 5500 and not about to kiss redline. Could the knock sensor have kicked in? Or does boost start to fall off at this RPM? I didnt have enough space to replicate it yesterday but ill try again today.

                              Aside from the TMC and de-cat downpipe, do you have any other mods? Pedal Booster or GoPedal?? Anything like that?
