I drive a 2013 Fiat 500c Lounge and it is about a year old now and has about 10600 miles on it. The speedometer has just started to randomly malfunction where it won't go past 20 mph. It returns back to normal if I pull over, turn the car off and then restart it but has anyone else had a similar issue? Or have any idea why this is happening?

If you read through the threads there is a bunch of weird bugs in the cluster from speedo staying at 20 over 85 degrees out, to not working, difference between analog & digital speed readouts, clock losing time, etc. My temp gauge reads 20 degrees lower than what is outside. I know some have had the cluster replaced, I just ignore it as it isn't that crazy for me to need to take stuff apart.2013 Abarth Cabrio double grigio- Top

Mine just started doing this same thing today. I also noticed on the drive to work this morning that the outer ring cluster lights (analog speedo and tach section) were going in and out at random. Also, my shift light has never worked. Ill call in to the studio and report back.- Top

Called the studio. They said it was a known issue and a new cluster would fix it. They ordered the part and had it the next day. Went in and they had it replaced in about an hour. No problems since. One minor complaint, when they reinstalled the cluster they left a cable hanging out in front. I didn't notice until I was back home so I fixed it myself.- Top

I have a similar issue. Not sure if it's the same root cause though.
My digital and analog speed readings are alway off my 2 miles. When digital says 30 analog says 32 and so on.
This is on a 2013 500T. Sound like something the dealer should look at?Rame 2013 500T - Gone to the great auto dealer's trade in lot in the sky.

I'd sure like to know which one is right though. Cops in my area are pretty strict.

I feel fortunate my analog, digital, and my GPS all report the same within 1MPH but I attribute that to the slight lag the GPS has on occasion. Going with the highest makes sense as suggested above.- Top

Hi, my new 2013 500c pop reads the following speeds:
GPS: 50mph
Speedometer (analog): 46-47mph
Speedometer (digital): 47-48mph
Also, to go with the flow (70 in a 65 zone) i have to go 72/75 in order not to slow others down.
Can the dealership adjust / initialize something? Maybe the wrong tire size is configured in the electronics (assuming this can be adjusted).
Thanks for info.Last edited by pvanessen; 02-23-2014, 10:55 PM.- Top

I'd ask the dealer to see if an update will help, lucky for me I am either dead on or up to only 1MPH off between all threee on a 2013 Abarth...I'd think they could do something for you.- Top
