there will be no cel due to the fact cat is still in place. I will also double check on this since my car pretty much will have the only complete true 2.5 inch turbo back on a abarth. IM going to try to start on it this weekend just have a few other cars lined up to finish up before I can start on mine.

This is a good idea Tony. I can't remember, is the size on the inlet of the cat 3"? If so, a shop wouldn't have too much trouble welding in the 8" Magnaflow 200 cell cat as well.

The inlet on the oem one is the same as the aftermarket one and if you look at the piping its pretty big. The main cause of restriction is the oem flange which the cat goes from 6 inches down to 2 inch exit. I really am looking foward to doing this. The thing should pick up some nice power also.
Right now im thinking about putting a resonator on my car because with the 2.5 front section its loud lol im getting old.
When i get the cat here ill post up all measurements here. Im just trying to save people money and make easy horsepower while still being smog legal.

Looking forward to your results. Do you think there is enough material on the stock flange to open up to 2.5" without running into the welds? Or is replacing the oem flange the only option to get to a 2.5" outlet?
