    tire pressure warning light

Does anyone have problems with the tire pressure warning.light when your tire pressure is fine? My pressure was low, had it filled to correct amount and was told to drive the car. It didn't go out. The technician used a tool to reset and it said I would find it in the menu log, but it isn't there either. Driving with an annoying light and everytime I start the car I get a warning to check the right front tire pressure.

    Welcome to the forum.

Usually it will reset after 20 minutes of driving but many have mentioned problems with the light at random times and no one has mentioned a sure fire solution, replacing the TPMS might work but also involves spending $ unless the dealer would be willing to trade one out which seems a bit doubtful.

maybe a dumb question, but when the warning light is on, do you still the read out on tire pressure?

Mine just came on as well as a "check tire pressure monitoring system" light. Annoying. Tires have not changed pressure since I got the car a month ago (500e). Going to go fiddle with the pressure tomorrow and see if I can make this go away.

funny there is a TPMS ad next to the first post ... I believe they are sold in sets of 4 so you may have to buy a complete set - each one transmits an identity code to the master receiver in the car so unless you can clone the code being sent by the one causing a problem you may have to get 4 new ones, and that means getting into each tire and replacing each sensor.

My TPMS has been broken since 27000 miles and the dealer has no plan to fix it....

Thanks for posting this. I hope you're right. Mine came on this morning saying I only had 31.9 psi in my left front tire. I was like, "31.9 is not that low. WTH?" After driving for a half hour it rose to 33.3 psi and it still warned me I only 33.3psi! I got home and filled it to 36 psi and it STILL SAID "low tire pressure 33.3!"

If it wasn't for this post I'd be a bit peeved at this point. Hopefully, by tomorrow morning it will be gone. If not... then add me to this list.

I found out that when you fill the tires with air, after the light has tripped, to reset it easily, overfill the tire, then bring it down to the actual pressure.

Cool, thanks for the heads up! I will try that if it doesn't reset tomorrow.
