Fiat access app not working

You need to set your email address correctly to get the email notifications.

When you get the confirmation sms, I seem to remember you have to reply, or it does not work.

Thanks for the tips. "Check and check", as they say. The email on the notifications is the same one that Fiat uses to communicate with me (it was pre-populated and I recently received my car-rental information, so I know that at least corporate can send me an email). I have also tested it with an alternate email that is hosted by a different company. Still no dice. I did reply to the SMS. (It would be nice if the system also sent a confirmation email and SMS _from the car_.)

I'm beginning to think (hope?) that the system requires some human intervention before the functionality actually works (though that would be inherently non-scalable), given that I'm reasonably confident that I've entered the correct information onto the profile page of the website.

Weird, mind just started working... I guess you have tried everything I can think of for now.

I filed a case with Fiat... 2 weeks to get an ack, and nothing happening...

My issue is SOLVED!

First, you need to realize that communication is SMS via T-Mobile, not Sprint as we were told before. Your car can be located where it cannot send or receive SMS, so make sure you test it in several different physical locations. In my case, my home and work are both bad locations!

Several things were noticed and now fixed:
SMS messages now work and there were problems at the Fiat end, not the app. Note that you should visit the notifications part of the app and you may have to re-check the notifications boxes. I had some issue getting them all checked, so I did about 1/3 at a time. Go out of the notifications page and back in and request the notification settings from the server (the activity circle will spin).

For a while, no updates from the car were possible, although I could send commands like honk the horn, etc. This was fixed by the dealership by replacing the "access module".

And finally THANKS to Erica, who got my case opened and worked on and fixed!
