Can't charge my Fiat..

Does anyone here know if I am doing something stupid when I am trying to charge my Fiat. I plug the charger into the wall (the standard 110V charger). Nothing happens...there is no green light or any lights whatsoever on the charger. I have tried it in several plugs and tested the outlets (they work). This is the first time I am charging so maybe there is some start-up thing I have to do first?

Should I be doing something different? Maybe my charger is broken?

I called my dealer but they are not interested in helping me so I gave up there.

Can't help you there - I just put gas in the tank and it works fine!

Not really trying to be funny, just pointing out that I have a gas-powered one, and so know nothing about charging the 500e.

I'd have to say that if you are one of the first people in the WORLD to buy an electric FIAT and the Dealer didn't want to help you, that you need to talk to the manager or owner, or write a letter to the president of Fiat (Sergio Marchionne) and let them know that this is unacceptable. In this case, of all new electric technology we're not talking about someone who locked their keys in the car or something simple, holy smokes!

+1 above! Can you siphon off of a Prius somewhere? Someone needs to make a prius to 500e adapter harness cable so you can tap off of a Prius any time you need to.
