DOT 3, 4 and 5.2 are all glycol based and "synthetic". LOL
DOT 5 is silicone based. Don't Mix DOT 5 Fluids with other brake fluid types.
I looked up the "10 year rule" and apparently, it's a myth. I had to correct my post. I was under the same impression myself but no such law
