Good evening, this weekend I replaced my thermostat (2012 sport), as it seemed to be heating up slower than I thought it should and the max temp I was getting was 165, yet from what I understand, the thermostat starts opening at 176.

I got the thermostat at Carquest and it is supposed to be also rated at 176. It is not getting even as hot at the old one, I got it up to 160 today but only after it was thoroughly warmed up and I was going down the highway.

What are others getting for a temp, I would think with a 176 degree thermostat that temps would run somewhere close to that.

it is colder now here in IA, single digits this morn and teens this evening.

I am thinking that I may have got a bad new thermostat but maybe it is normal.

Also has anyone seen an aftermarket thermostat rated at higher temps, I have searched multiple times with no luck.

thanks in advance
Chuck

Good evening, thanks for allowing me to join the forum. I have a new to me 2012 500 sport. while changing the thermostat today, what looks like a plastic check valve on the vacuum pump broke. I have searched for over an hour with no luck for just that part (it is the one that has one screw, has a portion go into the the vacuum pump and then the other end connects to a line that goes to the brake booster).

Anyone know if I can get just that part and if so the number of it or do I need to get a whole new vacuum pump?

thanks in advance
Chuck

Squeaky toy clutch pedal. http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?35514-Squeaky-toy-clutch-pedal&goto=newpost Fri, 01 Nov 2019 13:25:42 GMT
Hey everybody, a month or so ago my clutch pedal started squeaking on both pressing in and release. It's really annoying, I've tried my hand at lubricating with lithium spray on the contact points of the rear spring on the pedal, as well as the best I can describe is the plunger on the actual arm that acuates the slave/master whichever it is. I'm kind of a big guy so getting down under the dash is a huge PITA for me, as I'm sure it is for most. But the squeak actually does sound like it's coming from the arm/plunger at the clutch pedal if you all know what I mean. Anyways, I'm not finding too much about this issues online, so here is a video I took this morning.
