Just about to buy a MOPAR extended warranty for my Abarth.
Reading the contract, there are a couple of things which seem odd, so it anyone can clarify, that would be great.
FIAT Cares - you're welcome to answer :)
One: "Catalytic Convertor and Particulate Filter are NOT covered" - why would that be? This is a Maximum, 5007 component warranty. What's the cost of a CC if you had to replace it?
Two: "Repair or replacement of any covered component when it has been determined that the condition existed PRIOR to purchasing the plan" - OK, I've had sensors replaced three times, a flywheel, and a 510 transmission - all under the initial factory warranty, which still has one year and one week to go. Is FCA saying these components have some kind of 'pre-existing condition', because they've previously been replaced under warranty?
Three: what part of the car areas would the boost sensors/oxygen sensors etc be covered under, ENGINE, ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENTATION or ENGINE EMISSIONS? Since that's a problem on these cars, I couldn't actually find the word 'boost sensor' anywhere in the contract.
For something that supposed to be MAXIMUM, is sure makes a mystery of what that means....
