I'm thinking about installing the Alpine ILX-W650 with the Spiral KT-FI001PB dash kit in my 2015 Fiat 500. The Alpine is a short/shallow radio. Would you have to cut the vents to make the dash kit work? I would think that you could just cut and shorten the cage on the Spiral KT-FI001PB and then add the deflectors to the vents.

Thoughts/ideas?

I can’t believe 10 years have gone by. End of February 2011. We drove our first Fiat 500. It was a manufacturers vehicle. The FCA dealership, let me drive it for a couple days. It was a silver 5 speed manual. I showed everyone the little car, in our corporate headquarters. Even my friends who owned Mini’s. Driving to work on the highway. People in other cars waved. Never seen a small car like that before. Got the same attention as my little smart did. A biker on a Harley, pass me. Gave me the thumbs up. I couldn’t finally order a 500, till June 2011. From the factory. With all the great colors, Fiat offered. I stuck with the silver. Timeless shade.

One of my daughters, loved it too. Compared to our smart car.

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 A/S Plus tires vs BF Goodrich Sport Comp II http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?37693-Michelin-Pilot-Sport-3-A-S-Plus-tires-vs-BF-Goodrich-Sport-Comp-II&goto=newpost Sun, 21 Feb 2021 19:26:31 GMT
After 33,000 miles on my BF Goodrich tires I decided to upgrade to Michelins. I went to Costco and went from 205's (wheel rim protection) back to stock 195's, the only available size. Don't drive very hard and except once or twice to see what she'll do. The BFG's should've been replaced earlier but in super dry weather the car handled really well with little tread left.

The car always seemed (IIRC) a little skittish whilst taking turns and the whole car felt a bit like driving on concrete tires especially after Costco would pump up the pressure 3-4 psi above recommended. Then I would go home and the next morning let some of the nitrogen air out to get back to a cold pressure of 35psi front and 30 psi rear. The car still rode a bit stiff and I was thinking that was the nature of the beast.

After switching to Michelins...

WOW! What a difference! It's like driving a Lexus! Well not exactly but you get the idea. The car drives sooo m u c h smoother over cracks in the road. Even going in and out of my driveway. I'd always thought rattles were going to be the nature of the beast but things have settled down. Love these tires. Plan on breaking them in before doing a few turns at speed.

2017 500e TomTom update http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?37687-2017-500e-TomTom-update&goto=newpost Sat, 20 Feb 2021 04:13:17 GMT
Although this is an e, thought it might be common to any '17? The TomTom nav app is OK for most purposes but offers next to nothing when I ask for the nearest charging station. Because it's past the 36 month birthday is appears support for the the product has ceased, any way to get an update?

Also is there a way to flip the map to north pointing up or back to direction of travel?
