Hey everyone,

Ive got a 2015 500e whose trunk stopped opening. I know this is a common issue and I don’t mean to start a redundant thread but it feels like I’ve tried everything to get it to pop but nothings worked so far. I’ve got a tail light that just went out to so I need to open the trunk to change the bulb too, so it’s getting urgent.

I’ve tried removing the felt panel and pushing down the manual release lever, does nothing.

I’ve tried taking a flathead screwdriver to the left edge of the latch to pry the release mechanism, does nothing.

I’ve tried unplugging and plugging in the electrical connector to the lift gate hatch, does nothing.

Anything I’m overlooking?
