I've always had dashcams on our cars over the years, and I've either used the cigarette lighter or rear mirror tap methods to get power to the camera(s). In this setup, the dashcam powers off when the ignition is off. I recently bought relatively newer model Blackvue cameras to upgrade the cameras in our cars, and they feature built-in "Parking Mode Voltage Monitor" which could be set up or down using the Blackvue app. My car is parked 90% of the time in the garage, but I'd like to hardwire the one in my wife's 2018 500 POP, since she parks the car at multiple locations throughout the day.
Since this will be my first hardwire install, I'd like to ask for some guidance. First thing first, where's the fuse box that I can tap for constant power? :)
Camera comes with the hardwire cable, but I'm guessing I'll have to buy some fuse tap kits.
Thanks so much in advance!
