Fiat 500 USA Forum - Fiat 500 ABARTH Tires, Wheels and Brakes http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/ en Wed, 29 Mar 2023 03:16:13 GMT vBulletin 30 http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/images/misc/rss.png Fiat 500 USA Forum - Fiat 500 ABARTH Tires, Wheels and Brakes http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/ Rear wheel toe http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?40108-Rear-wheel-toe&goto=newpost Tue, 28 Mar 2023 07:00:57 GMT
Dear all,
I'm holding out a hand for help from our American owners.
Any Fiat 500/Abarth outside of North America, we in the EU etc, can’t correct the toe of the rear wheels.

Almost every vehicle will have completely different toe settings.

Take note I said outside North America!
Searching for a solution here in Scotland and Europe, I somehow ended up looking at the EuroCompulsion website.

Listed on their site are 2 different shim kits to correct the crap factory rear wheel toe!
Yep, you read that correctly!
The kits listed are genuine Fiat, yep genuine Fiat and the other from a company called SPC.

I've been in touch with EuroComplusion about them, and they can’t advise further about fitment outside North America.
Please bear with me.....

If you look at Abarth Tuning/TMC or DNA, they list camber plates, most of us I'm sure have some kind of camber on the rear end (Abarth’s need stance).
Abarth Tuning/TMC only list their version for the EU models.
DNA list them for the EU and North America.
Another but....
DNA, have different part numbers.
What’s the difference?
I've emailed DNA asking for some kind of confirmation, request to compare mounting surfaces and patterns.

Now, the whole reason for War and Peace -
Who’s getting under the back end of their Abarth this weekend or next?

If you are, please look on the rear axle, not parts attached to it, for a Fiat part number.
If you find the Mopar symbol, then a part number might be close by.
If you find one, please make note of it and post it here as a reply.
If you are a member of our sites and Facebook here in the UK, you'll find mu post

If the axles are the same, or the mounting faces and pattern where the hubs bolt in place IE camber plates identicle for North America and the EU, then there isn’t any reason why the kits listed on EuroCompulsions site, won’t fit our cars.
Then us poor souls outside of North Anerica can cure our rear wheel toe problems.
I thank you in advance
Stay Safe
