Starting to price shop for some tail lights. According to the Magneti catalog, this is the part number of one light. I’m trying to avoid getting Chinese knock-offs. Does this seem like the correct unit, aka for a 2017 500 Abarth, other then the fact the photo is the wrong, passenger side light?
Substitute a ‘2’ at the end for the RIGHT hand side light.

Hi everyone! Fiat beginner here, wanting to learn and grateful to have found this forum!
I bought an 2012 500 Abarth a few weeks back an absolutely adore it. The only downside is the number of check engine lights that have cropped up in the short time I've own it. The most recent has been a turbo boost leak that a local shop has tracked down to being the diverter valve. The problem is that the valve is an aftermarket part and not a OEM part. The mechanic says the shop is not able to do anything with aftermarket parts or tuning, and he's not even sure if the car has been flashed, and therefore he doesn't feel comfortable of doing anything about it. Now by all means, I'm a beginner in understanding how cars work, but how hard would be to replace the diverter valve myself? After some research, I've found good things concerning the GFB diverter, and it doesn't seem to be a complicated job to remove the intake pipe, a few bolts, at put the new one on. Am I missing something or is there any other advice you'd have before just doing it myself? I've done small jobs (like brakes) around cars before but this would be my first time poking around the engine and turbo.
Thanks for any advice!

Towing With An Abarth http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?37700-Towing-With-An-Abarth&goto=newpost Tue, 23 Feb 2021 22:34:09 GMT
Hi, everyone! Brand new member on the forum, and I just want to share my experience using my 2013 500c Abarth to tow since I haven't been able to find any threads on towing things other than jet skis or motorcycles, & the infamous camper-towing Fiat. I attached a couple of pictures so you guys can see what I've been towing. It's a 6x10 utility trailer that I use to transport furniture; I have a small side hustle flipping furniture. Overall, the Abarth pulls the trailer relatively easily. You are definitely always aware that it is back there, but the car does not struggle one bit in keeping up with other cars and coming to an abrupt stop if necessary. Braking is where you notice the extra weight the most. Downshifting and using the engine to brake is a must, and keeping your distance/going slow so you don't use up the brakes too much. As far as stability goes, the car feels great on the highway. Conditions permitting, I cruise at 70 mph with no problem and can go 80+ if I need to overtake someone. I will definitely be getting a truck this year so the Abarth doesn't take too much prolonged abuse, but if anyone's been wondering if they can tow something other than a jet ski with their Abarth, you can!

Has anyone Seafoamed (or similar) their 1.4T? http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?37684-Has-anyone-Seafoamed-(or-similar)-their-1-4T&goto=newpost Fri, 19 Feb 2021 17:58:29 GMT
Very shortened story is that i've recently had a new (used) engine installed in my 500 abarth. thus far it's running relatively well, however due to the engine sitting in a warehouse before being sold i figured it'd be a good idea to attempt to clear out the fuel system. I have a can of Seafoam.... should I just dump it in my tank with my next fill?

Anyone used any sort of fuel system cleaner in their 1.4T? how was your experience?

I see quite a few people running the 4c Bosch coils, but does anyone have experience using the 2015+ 4c coils by Eldor? I have a few on order, so before i void the return i'd like to hear from someone who actually has experience running them. Should I just spend the extra $100 for Bosch?

I'm running a phase 1 with EC, and really the only recommended mod that i'm missing are the coils. Mine have more than 100,000KM on them, so it's time to replace them anyway

Part number on the Eldor's is 68308653AA

Found these folks on YouTube.

I wouldn't spend this much on lighting, but it's an interesting site to look at.
