Snapped a couple photos at the starting grid in our Auto-X Session, I would have took more shots.. But strictly no cameras allowed while on the course :concern:

Great pictures! A vid of some in-car and drive-by during the instruction portion of the day. In the second vid I almost spun it all the way around. In the last vid, you see Isabella going through the slalom with my lovely bride Katy Rokit behind the wheel...

was that 2nd gear all the way?

I like the numbers (303), where did you get those made? Is it vinyl?

That was the 'back half' of a two course layout during instructionals for the day. They then joined that with a much bigger 'front half' in the afternoon and it was game on.
Almost all the courses here in SDR SCCA SOLO2 are 2nd gear only...I ocassionally hit the rev limiter at the end of a slalom and ride it into the next corner to not upset the suspension prior to breaking.

#303 is because I produce Acid music (not from colorado, hehe). 808 is still available here in SD if someone wants to grab it! My neighbor will make and ship the same kind of magnetic numbers and 'STC' class magnets for very cheap...he runs a sign shop, and does it for 50% what everyone else wants. $55 for the 303 ones, and $45 for the STC's...

FWIW, I don't mind passing along his info to you or doing an email intro if you have any magnetic numbers or signage you want for the Abarth community, I'm sure he'll honor the same 'neighbor bro deal' if I ask nice!

Is that STC? Just curious why not STF?

It is STC, yes... I did the research prior to the season starting up this year, but I don't recall what ended up putting the Abarth in STC. It runs in GS in stock trim, but after the short shifter and a few of the other mods I have on it they put me in STC.

Suppose in my relative ignorance, I should ask you too, "why STF?"...as in... what specifically should put it in STF vs. STC? Sorry i'm not much help...it's simply been too long since I looked into it, and it's also just not something I retained or cared about after they put me there. :-/

How did you guys run compared to the BR-Zs? I had a little back road action with one over the weekend and he couldn't pull on me, I'm wondering how the autox times stack up.

I beat both of them (there were two). That said, who knows...it was a auto-x specific driving instruction day, so there were pros and ameatures alike out there. But my best time was 49.01, and they were both in the 54 to 56 second range. The blue one looked like he knew how to drive, but it's hard to say though on a day like that. They also weren't even counting cones, so my 49.01 clean run could have been a LOT better than their times if they were hitting any cones.. will know more next event in early june!

Finally here's my vids.. My original file was way too big, and it was a big pain uploading & editing these on Youtube. :suspicion:

Good Slalom here, but took the sweeper too hot.

Did better with the sweeper this run.

Nice runs! You and I both need to work on our hand shuffling a little more. The more we work on it the faster our hands will get and we'll get better control overall.
For my part, I just need to drive better so I'm not full clock all the time in the first place! I got to see you on the back stretch slalom a few times and your Abarth looked incredibly fast compared to the other cars in your run group, at least in the top 2 or 3 fastest.

Thanks Shaggie, Yeah the instruction told me that I was over doing my steering input.. But I was really trying to get my rearend to rotate haha, it wouldn't come out because I didn't have enough tire pressure in the rears.
