This isn't a problem or concern but when I shut off my car and it's quiet, I hear a low, droning sound (about D flat) coming from the front of the car. It sounds just like the singer, Moby, starting to sing the first note in his song "Natural Blues". Is there an oiler for the turbo that pumps oil thru the bearings after it is shut off? I used to have a Saab 900 turbo and it was recommended to idle the engine for a minute or so before turning it off so that the turbo wouldn't cook the oil in it and shorten the turbo's life.

Actually, it's the coolant pump.

One of the great bonuses to this car....it really helps extend turbo life especially after hard runs....no need for a turbo timer!!

From the owners manual, page 198 and 199:

Turbocharger “Cool Down”
This vehicle is equipped with an after-run pump to cool
the turbocharger after the engine is shut off. Depending
on the type of driving and the amount of cargo, the pump
will run for up to 10 minutes after the engine has been
shut off to circulate coolant through the turbocharger.

Although the pump is rubber-mounted for quiet operation,
it is normal to hear it running during this time.

Thanks to all. I thought it was normal but you can never be too safe.

Yeah its the turbo after run oil pump. All normal!

Oil Pump is run via the Timing Belt... if the motor isn't Running, then the Oil Pump isn't Pumping.

Well, the water pump is also engine-driven. It's an auxiliary pump, regardless of whether it's oil or water, when the engine is off.
