I drive windy canyons to work everyday (speed limit 55) instead of taking the hwy work. I'm currently getting 36.5 in the canyons (sport mode). The few times I used the Hwy, I hit 41.2 MPG. Being used to driving a Jeep for 15 years and getting 14.7 MPG, I'm in heaven.

What model Fiat do you have? I noticed that Fiat recently recalculated or adjusted the ECU to now be able to claim 40mpg on the regular Fiats!

I think that's the 2013 Pop with the big tail, revised tranny etc - I get 36 in my urban driving with 2012 Pop 500c

I have over 16000 mi on my 2012 automatic 500 Pop and would agree with most of this thread that mileage does go down in Sport mode. Most of the time in my daily commute of 40 miles each way I drive very conservatively and average 39 mpg, but on weekends I enjoy Sport mode and manual shifting. Ahh the best of both worlds!
