How much is a used Prima Edizione worth? I'm considering buying Prima #379 from a dealer, with 8900 miles on it. They're asking $21,000 for it. That sounds WAY overpriced to me; I've seen some postings mentioning $15,000 internet sales prices, and it looks like #499 went for closer to $12,000 (but with higher mileage). I can't find any Blue Book or Black Book prices, as this is a special edition that never comes up as an option I can select. Any help here? The car had one previous owner, they tell me, and appears to be in perfect shape. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Don't want to get soaked. Thanks!

Other than the stripe on the side and a few trinkets there was really nothing that special about it. They were the first 500 cars of many to follow. I think $17,500 or so would be a fair price.

A used Prima is worth far less than the price the dealer is asking. That was the price NEW over a year ago.

My dealer offered $12,000 for my Prima on a trade in for an Abarth. I have 8700 miles on it. I told him I would sell it myself and buy the Abarth elsewhere. I think you can get a brand new Sport which is basically the same as a Prima for $17,000 or less.

Run from this dealer.

They're asking $21,000 for it.
Ask them to put down the crackpipe.
No way it is worth 21,000. I sold 499, arguably one of the best numbers available, for 12,000. That is because it had in excess of 30,000 miles. At the end of the day, a Prima is car with special visual treatments. Most of which I personally did not care for. Someday they may be worth a premium, but not now.
17,500 was mentioned. I agree.
A 500 is a great car and a Prima may be worth having if you like the look. Otherwise, if you really like the stripes (the most visible distinction), buy a Sport for 17,000 and buy the stripes on ebay for 75 dollars and have someone put them on for you.
