Has anyone installed or have any experience with the scissor doors from 500madness? I am considering them for my Abarth and wondering about how substantial they are.
Any input would be appreciated.

I'd Imagine they'd have to be fairly substantial since the Abarths doors are kinda big. Why do you want to put doors like that on your car? I'm sorry all I can think about is this......2590

Why not put spinner wheels and a neon underbody kit to go along with those?

I thought they only sold those to kids with Honda civics with bashed a bashed in quarter panel and primer grey front clip?

+1. C'mon with all the Ferrari's listed in your signature, I find it hard to believe you would want a scissor door kit.

Btw, what number is your "Scuderia Spider"? I'm actually a bit surprised that you call it a "Scuderia Spider" when it is simply referred to as the "16M".

We have this kit installed on our Sport and I can honestly tell you they are very well designed and built. The hinges are actually more substantial then the original door hinge hardware.

The doors can be used either way. The regular swing out way or swing out and up.

While the mod is not for everyone, those that have seen the doors in person have liked them.

Our kit is made by a company that is the leader in the vertical door conversion community and has been specifically designed to fit on the Fiat 500 (pop, lounge, sport and ABARTH). With this kit you still maintain the ability to open the doors horizontally as well as vertical. This is absolutely a substantial kit we have installed it on our Prima and have not had any issues with it. The vertical door kit may not be for everyone but nothing will set your ABARTH apart from the crowd more then a set of vertical doors.

Here are a few pictures of the vertical doors on our Prima.

:devilish: It's Carlo Abarth we're talking about here. Somewhere in Italy he's figuring out how to spin FASTER in his grave.

The 16M is the Scuderia Spider Spider. # 168660 of 499 total production . It does not need scissor doors........
The doors would be a novelty as is the car.

The kit looks like a high quality kit but I am not a fan of them, unfortunately the fast and furious crowd ruined it, for me anyways.
