If you're super cheap like me, you'll do this $1.50 mod - http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=779&d=1324844667stair step tread from home depot :)

Looks great! You're a very smart consumer! It works well with the stock rubber pedals too!

Or, if you want one for free, order from Madness the rubber rear mat for the trunk area and cut out the piece to allow the mat to fit around the Bose thingy, and you can then use that piece with carpet tape applied and you will find it fits the left foot rest almost perfectly.

Oh, forgot one thing. I guess you have to have the Bose thingy in your car to make this work.
Never mind.......

Nice mod. I broke these posts out of the other thread as it deserves its own thread!

I love it... one small problem.. My foot is too damn big (size 13) for the Fiat.. My Mini's footrest was deeper and longer

For about $2.00 dollars, I bought a few feet of black rubber carpet runner from Home Depot. I cut off one end and made a footrest piece for my left foot, attached it with velcro "hooks" to the car's floor, and used the other couple of feet of runner to make a trunk mat.

I read somewhere on this or another forum that the plastic box underneath the footrest can be easily removed. You may want to give that a go and see if it helps.

OT, but I notice some cars have a white arrow on the hood opener and some don't.

Like the sunroof plug, I don't have a white arrow on my hood handle. I'm wondering if FIAT is ever going to do anything about the owners who don't have sunroof plugs? Maybe I should ask...

If you don't want to stick the rubber to the carpet, you can put Velcro on the reverse side and it will meld with the carpet. If you have to take it off for any reason, just pull it away from the carpet.
