Figured Id introduce myself and start a thread that I am sure will entail some mods, lots of pictures and some videos.

Im a big Porsche, Audi and VW guy, having owned quite a few of each, I saw a few images of the abarth in 2010 and rumors we may get the abarth stateside if FIAT bought Chrysler, so I have been following the Abarth pretty extensively for about a year and half, love the way the car looks and figured the powertrain could be very promising. Finally picked a bianco up last week, about a month earlier than I had expected and so far despite a few build quality issues (out of alignment exhaust and misaligned front bumper), its what I had expected. The car is going to be my daily driver for now and look forward to engine and suspension mods in the future. My first impressions of the car are for the most part good, the car is a bit raw, which I prefer in a sports car, and reminds me of a MK1 gti, but with a lot less body roll and a more inviting powerband.I think with a mild drop via springs or coilovers and a bit more power this Abarth could be one of the better cars Ive owned!! Im still getting used to the size of it and the steering responsiveness, but overall its a very fun car to drive.

I ordered the car early april and to my luck the dealer took stock of a bianco one a month later, so I picked up the dealer one that came in and ended up getting the car about a month early!!

First of all, Congratulations on your new Abarth!!!

I was cleaning and washing the car this morning, and when I took a break I came to the forum to read the latest threads... After I read your post I checked all the car in detail... I did not find the bumper misaligned but I did find that the driver's fender is... you can tell by looking at the passenger side and seeing how the driver's side is installed a bit more towards the inside of the hood... I will try to take a photo of before and after. I am guessing that it is as easy as undoing the two bolts and just pushing it just a hair towards the outside.

None, if you look at the full review post...the lower coils of the springs have rubber sleves on them, ithink this prevents some of it and to make sure and take your time lining up the spring seats and top mount as they were disassembled.
