Hi, just want to add a few details on the promotion. I entered it through their facebook page but it wasn't too clear on the page how the promotion work (unless you read the terms and conditions). First, you need to be on facebook and like their page. Then, after you entered the promotion by going here
http://bit.ly/JSGQ50

it gives you two code where u can print out.

The first code gives you automatic $500 off when buying or leasing a new 500 or 500c, (looks like abarth is not included)

And the second code is the "spin and win" code, for wining a new 500 car. You will have to go to a fiat studio, schedule a test drive (or not), and enter the code in a special computer they have at the dealer to see if you won. I think this promotion only last till 5/31.

I signed myself up for the challenge, and had my certificate printed out yesterday! :) As of now, I plan on taking my dad over to Carman FIAT in New Castle! Hopefully, I could also be able to not just test drive one, as participants would have to do in the contest, but also drive one home! This car, as well as all of its' family members are too good to pass up!

Actually unlike the youTube videos you get to spec out the car you want,.. (only thing is at the end of model year.. some of the colors arent available!!! GRRRR first we wanted Copper.. N/A then I saw Expresso.. N/A so we settled for Mocha Latte which will go well with our Verde Chiaro Pop that we have.. We went for Auto Tranny (no comments please) Safety and Convinance, Sirius XM, but no Sun roof this time

Actually I wanted to upgrade to a 500C NO GO! contest is for Fiat 500 SPORT only .. A value base model value at 17,500. (it's actually in the rules you can print out with your number) If you want to add equipment like a sun roof, auto tranny, heated seats etc.. that's out of your pocket.. as is delivery charge, sales tax, and lets not forget the inevitable CG tax (which comes out to approx $3400)(all that depends on your income)

so lets see it's been a week and a half.. and still nothing (though sue has been out for almost 4 months)
(for those of you not on FB I was "terminated" on Wed 5/9 after 28+ years at FotoCare)

we found out we won a car..(another FIAT 500 Sport) and had to spec it out (though funny because it was the end of year certain colors were no longer available..oh well)

one big thing is while I have put the Mini Cooper up for sale.. I really dont want to lose track of the friends we've made in the club and I hope once things are settled.. I can do a multi TYPE car ralley. Mini's, Fiats, (personally I want an Avanti or a jag E-type of the E type looking Ferrari we saw at Montauk to join us) Alfa's MG's TR's the whole gamut Any of you assorted car drivers ok with that???? I'ld really like to hear some feedback. Last time i tried I got grief from the Mini crowd and zero response from the Fiat crowd (all this would be on Long Island, btw)

On that note about the Multi-Car rally, I wouldn't have any problems with that; except I wouldn't be able to join in since I live over two hours away from Long Island, and as a relatively new driver I'm unsure if I can really take on the hours of driving just yet. Besides that, I wold love to take the opportunity of doing a multi-car type rally, especially to socialise with and befriend others, and most of all have fun!

Plus, on that other note about the base 500 1.4 16v Sport, what standard features would come with the car, besides the manual gearbox, and so on? Would it be the same level of equipment as the 500 Pop, and then some? I can live without some of the optional equipment for now, such as the TomTom navigation system (since I already have one) and heated seats (since I won't find much, if any use with them in the late Spring-Summer seasons). Would it still have the USB port, as well as FIAT's Blue&Me telecommunications system standard?

check the fiat usa site for the items on the base sport... it's pretty good.. you get the bose sound system, fog lights 16" tires with alloy rims, sport seats, sport suspension, real spoiler and different F&R Fascia than the pop (plus all the things in the base pop) about the only thing we didnt opt for was the sunroof... not sure why I really did want the Russo (Copper) or Espresso, but they are just NLA to order now.

still not 100% sure on dissing the sunroof.. but we wanted the spare.. and i wanted the heated seats... they only come in a package.. added the sirius xm (got hooked on it in the pop)(the package also comes with auto climate (which i had in my Mini) and the alarm..which i wish was passive...

oh other Item i wish Fiat would add (are you listening).. again a feature that was on my 03 mini.. hold down the unlock on the key fob and the windows and roof opens (very helpful in the summer heat) also if you put the key in the door (dont know about new minis... since they dont use keys anymore) you can have all the windows open (vs holding down the keyfob) or afterwards.. turn the key to lock and all the windows and roof will close up and lock the car

So I took my Mom to play our Spin to Win codes yesterday. Cool enough - I was one digit off; Mom not quite as close. Looks like the studio rep has to log into a Facebook app to enter our numbers so we can try our "spin." We learned that Facebook was blocked on the studio's local network so we had to walk to the dealership next door and access the page from one of their computers. Yes, really.

I really like this studio. Everyone is always helpful, knowledgeable, and exceptionally nice whenever I stop by. And if Mom decides to pull the trigger and purchase a 500, she'll be doing so there. I just wish the studios were a bit more on top of what the Fiat corporate advertising arm was doing with social media.

Thank goodness this new-fangled interwebs thing is just a fad and will go away soon so these studios can get back to work selling cars! :hopelessness:

Looks like there's still a car or two to be won today. Good luck!

White Abarth, I think that is probably worth posting to FIAT USA as a comment on Facebook. Lots of people had been posting there saying they'd played the game and then went to a Studio that knew nothing about it. But to have one say "Ok, that's cool, let's find a way to help you out..." is probably worth mentioning.

It does not surprise me, but has always been irritating, how many auto dealers don't care to keep up at all with what the manufacturer is doing.
