Hello everyone -

first time post - I don's have an Abarth (yet). I was at a local dealer looking at a white Abarth that had just arrived. Noticed that the pass side exhaust tip was sticking out more (quite a bit more) than the one on the driver's side. Any one else with that problem?

Thanks

Mine is that way - about 1/2" more on the passenger side.

Visually my exhaust pipes look fine and even. Love the look.

What I did notice is that the plastic diffuser panel seems a bit flimsy. When touching the panel moving it back and forth it seems to move considerable amount with the rear bumper paneling. This seems more cosmetic to me than a functional performance piece. But I still enjoy the way the rear part of this car looks. Perhaps this panel might be slightly warped or could be pushed back into position.

Actually I was slightly surprised that the panel is not firm and has considerable flex.

Thats how mine are, it's close enough for government work!

Mine is a bit off, too. The right side is maybe 3/8" off. Doesn't bother me as much as the poorly glued side sills, the scratches during dealer prep, the ugly silver wheel bolts, the hideously cheap interior door panels and especially the bumper covers that are a different color than the rest of the car.

Don't get me wrong, I still love this car, but the level of craptacular-ness is not confidence-inspiring. It's making me reconsider sinking in a bunch of money on mods. If stuff actually starts breaking soon, I'm outta here.

Black Mamba, what kind of exhaust is that?

It's an exact replica of the Magneti Marelli that a local exhaust shop made for me. $120 is better than $400-$600 dollars. If you want to hear it just let me know.2101

Take in consideration that this is a cold start. Exhaust evens out nicely after a couple minutes.

Sounds great... what's the weight if I may ask? If I'm going to grab an aftermarket, having some weight savings would be an added value.

Dont know the exact weight but it weighs next to nothing. Now the stock exhaust weighed a ton.

Passanger side is kicked out about 1/2In. I looked underneath may be corrected with a bit of adjustment to the exhuast hangers.

The nice thing about that panel is it is only $104. I'm amazed how low some of the parts prices are on these cars.

Must...know...part numbers...now. :)

Obviously, they probably just bent the tubes, but are the tips anything specific? Also, try $1,100 is what I was quoted from 500madness...

Bumping this to get more information, but also to confirm my right exhaust tip is sticking out quite a bit more than the left. No big deal, just haven't got around to seeing if I can adjust it yet.

Dealer realigned for me, after getting check engine light looked at.

Yes, mine is off a inch or so. It sounds so sweet, I rarely turn on the all highs and no lows bose sound system.

Initial eyeball inspection at delivery is that my car's exhaust alignment is fairly true and centered.

Mine was crooked. We took it back to the dealer and he replaced it with another muffler with a straight exhaust tip. This is just poor quality control on Fiat's part.
