Now if I could only get the TomTom I paid for...I am told it is on back-order.

Darn! I wish I had know that level of integration was involved! I would have added it! Hopefully there's a way to do it aftermarket.

So wait. You can't use bluetooth to pair your phone to the car unless you ordered the TomTom option? Did I read this right?

I disagree with the opinion that the TOMTOM is that worthwhile. I've had my prima for over a year and sync my phone to the blue&me for phone calls and to a bluetooth bridge plugged into the minijack for music playback. I much prefer the music interface on my dashboard mounted 7" tablet with google navigation (free traffic) to that of any GPS. Voice commands are perfect on my Android tablet and updates are free (unlike the TOMTOM)

No you didn't, you can definitely connect your phone to the system using bluetooth without the Tom Tom option. Provided your phone is supported of course. As long as you have a smartphone you should be fine, most feature phones aren't supported except for Blackberry.

I ordered the Tom Tom by mistake so it's good to see there will still be some use for it.

Okay because the way that article made it out was if you didn't order TomTom, you will basically have a tough time doing anything with Blue&Me and your iPhone or iPod to do music and make calls.

dashboard mounted 7" tablet

Do you have any pictures of this?

No traffic updates on the TomTom makes it useless for me.

Hi Fred - I like your 'bluetooth bridge' idea and that it's so small. Would you mind telling us the brand and model? It'll keep me from having to drill a hole through the glovebox door in order to connect a 'jumper' cable from the audio output of my android phone while having the phone also connected to the 12V outlet to keep it charging on those long drives.

Did a quick search and found this

http://www.chinaewindow.net/1-din-62-inch-touchscreen-car-dvd-player-for-fiat500-with-gps-tmc-dvbt-bluetooth-p-5185.html

In my opinion this looks way better than the Tom Tom and does way more

Personally, I'm not too sure if I want to give that much credit to an article where they truly ping the car so much all due to it's bluetooth capabilities. Really? Do you think that a large percentage of Abarth buyers are that focused and concerned about that vs. driving dynamics, and fun?

Well, it only makes sense because it is a Technology review website. So to me, that's understandable for them to do.

The Mini jack that protrudes out the side of that is pretty large, I assume you are still able to close your glove box?
