Congats! Also a little jealousy. Mine is on a train in Nuevo Laredo waiting to cross into the USA.

Enjoy and let us know how long it takes your studio to deliver it to you from the time they received it.

Cheers

Thanks for the quick responses.

Trust me the wait is worth it. I probably won't pick up until tomorrow. I left explicit instructions for make ready including supply of my detail tools for this car and front plate bracket install.

Here's a quick timeline from inception to delivery:

3/8 Ordered at dealer. Got VON on the spot.
4/3 Built
4/5 Released from factory.
4/6 to 4/15 Rail travel from Mexico to Texas
4/15 Unloaded from rail car
4/16 Delivered to dealer

Dealer questioned my opt out of the body side decal stripe and 17" wheels. I like this sleeper look. Those in the know will recognize it readily. He said the exhaust sounded amazing.

My wife has named him "Spartacus."

Congrats!
The "keep it under 4000rpm for the first 300 miles" is sooooo hard to comply with.

I've always wondered how legitimate that is. Is that something to be followed religiously or more of a guideline?

Are those threshold plates standard or an add on?

I've always wondered how legitimate that is. Is that something to be followed religiously or more of a guideline? This has always been a "jurys still out" sort of idea, but having run-in dozens of new vehicles I would say just keep cool for about the first 48 hours or so. I mean - hey, that's one tank of gas (less, actually), so as much fun as this car is going to be - let her live in the lower rpm ranges for a few hours and you're good to go. At any rate I am hoping to be in your "situation" sooner than later. JEALOUS, htwt.

I don't know if they are part of the leather upgrade package. Pretty cool if they are standard though.

Congrats!
Mine is in Salt Lake this morning, almost to Boise.

How exciting...

Any word on how much Extended Warranty will cost?
Debating to drive mine down to Vegas to see if I can sneak into the Richard Petty driving experience gig.

Well, I really hope that the post on the locations for those event was incomplete... why would I have to go to NY to do mine when we have Richard Petty facilities in Daytona and Orlando...?

SP1/SteveL CONTRATS!! Please start a new thread with your thoughts. Brake in, I have always heard to vary speed, so that the rings seat. I don't know if that is still the case. My Studio is 86 miles from home so I will drive the back roads home if my car ever gets past "Production Scheduled".

They are standard on the EU/UK 500s so don't see why not...

Chirs I think has the schedule in one of his USA pages. Hopefully he can chime in and provide a link.

Me too. We're even a little further away from NY. On the other hand, my wife and I might just enjoy a little time up north.

Our studio of choice is about 90 miles from home and we'll take back roads too, if you can call Highway 41 a back road! Makes me miss the San Francisco bay area with all the twisties throughout the Sierras, foothills, wine country et al. At any rate, we won't take the Interstate 75 home to Ft Myers!

Was on a list at local dealer for a June car. Started calling around to other Studios in other cities Saturday. Second call, salesman said they just had a cancelation and he offered me the car, credit card and $1000 deposit, arrives 4/28. I guess timing is everything. Cancelled June car, can't wait. Other Studio 50 mile drive. Should be a nice drive home.

BillE, drove 41 to Sarasota from Florida Southwest several months ago. Not a bad drive, lots of stop and go. At least I'll have US25 with some twisty sections.

Not a bad investment for only a $50.....life's an adventure and you may end up somewhere you didn't expect. At least that applies to us :)
We ordered it on our Bianco which will be here about the same time as yours.

Cheers.

I got the block heater in my Prima and used it a couple of times last winter to get heat right away. I don't have heated seats. There are chilly days when temps dip down into the 30's and I don't want to get frostbite.

Paint Finish Review:

Now that I have had a chance to check out the finish in natural lighting. Unfortunately these could not be seen until the exterior was washed. I did find several panels that has high speed buffer marks from the factory. Nothing too severe that couldn't be polished out readily.

This is the reason I chose the brilliant black pearl coat as opposed to jet black clear coat finish. There is a small degree of forgiveness in the pearl finish. Not much but tolerable for a daily driver.
