Thanks.

I'm not sure if the intake you have pictured is for the N/A version, it may be for the european 500.

The one pictured on the left below is availalbe from 500Madness.com as well as many other suppliers and on e-bay. Both the intake and strut tower brace are different in the two pics.

That was something that Mopar "put together" for the SEMA show over a year ago. It was not designed for production, just for show.

The one they have available now is the final version.

The prototype sure looks nicer - and easier to work with - than the real one.

I think it would have been easier to install and maintain the air filter with the prototype. However, it might have blocked access to the top of the oil filter canister. Of course, removing the prototype CAI to get to the oil filter canister would have been much easier than removing the wheel/wheelwell plastic to get to the CAI air filter, as we have to do now! Well, as I will have to do, once I get the funds to buy one.

I wish I saw this before I bought the Corsa. I would have had someone put this together for me as I like the idea of the filter location towards the very front of the engine compartment.

I'm not certain that directly over the exhaust manifold is the best place for a filter open to engine compartment air.
