Cool! Doesn't sound 'angry' enough.

That mic has limited dynamic range- and that flanginess isn't helping... so fun to hear but not all that representative I'd bet.

Exhaust is still being finalized.

If anyone needs any reassurance the double shot pipes (as in the clip) do not sound like that. By the sounds of it the sound has been dubbed over...

If it helps this is pretty representative of a "Double Shot"...

or this of the louder Optional "Monza"...

Both exhaust crack pop bang and cackle burble on both over run and acceleration.

I'm sure B&M (or another company) will eventually make a short throw shift kit for it.

It looks to me that it needs to be lowered about another 1/2 inch or so.

no turbo dumping noise with a BOV means recirculation system, yeah? Man these cars are going to scream when a tuner get their hands on it to write a chip!
I also found it interesting that in one of the videos with Jay leno talking with one of the big shots from the Abarth Design team that the compression ratio on the turbo motor is 9.5:1 vs the N/A which he said was 9.8:1 .. Not much difference there. must be the difference the multi-air technology makes over a conventional motor setup..

just looked at Wetterauer's website. They are listing having a chip for the European version. http://www.wetterauer.de/index.cfm

Depending on the state of tune of the car when it hits your shores there are a few things to note...

The 500 SS's are pretty much at their highest state of reliable tune, you wont get much more out of the Turbo than what it is already producing, unless you spec up to a 695 Tributeo Turbo unit and ancillary components. The original turbo is only diddy.

An Abarth fit Monza exhaust claims to provide 5-10bhp, as would any other custom exhaust at a push.

A TMC induction and tuning kit also produces some pretty good claims and also has a good reputation and reliability throughout the Abarth Community in the UK...it also doesn't effect the warranty.

I've not done it as I'm happy with the performance and I need the reliability.
