In the 4th picture on the bottom menu, it appears to show a paddle shifter.

I'm not so sure about that. It looks a bit more like a close up of the boost gauge which has an upshift warning light in the center of it. We'll see in two weeks!

Paddle shifters? Really? I'd rather see a six-speed. I'll be (hopefully) making the trip out to the LA show to see it in person. It's been a long wait from my first sighting of the European Abarth at the Paris show in '08 til now. Finally it arrives.

Do you mean the 4th pic on the bottom menu of the main page with the words "Shift Up" on it? If so, that is not a paddle shift. That is the boost gauge for the turbo, which has a great "Shift Up" light in the middle of it.

If you don't mean that, I stand corrected. LOL

You are correct. I forgot about that, I remember seeing it light up when "Sport" mode is engaged, but I forgot about the "shift up" display. As far as having a desire for paddle shifters, I'll take it other way. I understand the involvement factor only a manual 5/6 speed will provide, every car I've owned has been a manual except my current car. I guess I've embraced the technology especially in DSG form.

"...we find it has seating seating for four... just. And a boot which is big enough for things."

If you haven't seen the Top Gear review of the 500 ABARTH, it's really worth a look. It's the first segment of Episode 2, Series 12 (available on iTunes and elsewhere).
