What's "traction" like on these in slushy/wet/icy environs? And what's involved in mounting the footrest?

Chris,

Honestly I have not personally driven with these in the snow or icy conditions. I have driven with them on in the rain and they were fine. These pedal sets are made in Italy and are sold all over Europe. Their weather conditions are much like the ones you ask about in the winter so I imagine they would be fine and probably better then the smooth plastic pedals we have on now.

However, since I have not personally driven in the rain I cannot tell you for sure. I can tell you that we have a set mounted on a rally car that is competing in a Rally in Newfoundland right now and the driver has been very satisfied with the feel of them.

As far as mounting the footrest... You simply screw it in to the thick carpet pad with the provided mounting screws. They are long enough to secure the footrest, but not long enough to damage the metal behind the carpet and pad.

Hope that helps a bit.

I installed the black grips set in my wife's Red Prima and really like them (so does she :>) No issues with grip with wet shoes. No snow.....yet.
