Just a quick note to let you all know the Forum celebrates its 8th year today and to thank everyone for making this the number 1 Fiat 500 Forum based in the US. Thanks to our members, we boast the most forum posts of any NAFTA Fiat 500 forum - 295,000 + last I looked.

Below is our first humble post: The forum started off as an embedded forum on Fiat500USA.com and then evolved into its own site.

I've started this mini forum on the site to better communicate with my valued readers.

I get so many comments now, it is difficult to keep track and reply to all of them. This forum will centralize and make it easier to keep track and answer the questions I receive. http://fiat-500-usa-forum-archives.965414.n3.nabble.com/images/smiley/anim_handshake.gif

I look forward to the discussions!

Best regards,

Chris

November 2010 was an exciting time in the Fiat world as we waited for the introduction of the 500 in the North American Market. Many members were also waiting for news on the their 500 Prima Edizione model they all purchased sight unseen. I'm happy to say I worked with Fiat USA to get exclusive updates to our members. Check out the Prima Edizione Forum (http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/forumdisplay.php?116-Fiat-500-Prima-Edizione) for many of these posts and you can read how excited we all were as we anticipated the arrival of our cars. Of course, Fiat500USA.com documented each step of the way, and I invite everyone to check out the early articles posted there, too.

The forum has grown from those heady days as you can see from the stats below from last year:

Unique visitors: 635,155
Forum Page Views: 19,103,605
Forum Hits: 48,557,364

The last few months, forum traffic has grown substantially and we just hit a milestone two days ago - 9,608 users online - the most ever. All thanks to you!

So tell your friends, and feel free to jump in and welcome new members and post. We love to hear what you have to say.

All the best,
Chris

Thanks , Chris for what you have built, and what you done. You have help foster my love for the Fiat brand,
Help me find some fiat owners clubs. Also I would like to say we need to keep posting ideas . In my mind one of the greatest success on this forum would be the launch of a fiat auto that would satisfy our needs. But I like what you have built here. It also seems like the Fiat autos respects the fiat500usa. Which is a great.

Thanks Joseph. Glad to have you aboard! That's a good idea to keep the suggestions coming. You never know who might read this. We've had some good success passing on our ideas to the brand - Fiat 500 2.0 (http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?5041-Fiat-500-Version-2-0) and the 124 Abarth name change (http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?24556-Fiat-124-Spider-Elaborazione-Abarth/page24). I find it pretty astonishing (and humbling) that the company actively wanted to hear what WE on this forum had to say.

I was recently invited to have dinner at the FCA table to continue the conversation, so yes, we're still appreciated. ;)

One thing that separates us is the exclusive and first post info we get direct from sources inside the company.gr_grin

A couple of popular threads with exclusive info sourced directly from company sources:

Fiat sent me out to drive pre-production Abarths and I sat down with the engineers and company executives to pose questions that were posted on the forum by all of you.:

http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?4578-Questions-for-Abarth-engineers

Early Abarths had a suitcase muffler and then they didn't. People were curious and I contacted the chief Abarth engineer and he sent me the info I shared on the forum:

http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?6020-Stock-exhaust-No-rear-quot-muffler-quot-box&p=563255&viewfull=1#post563255

I discovered a discrepancy in the factory Abarth manual and alerted the company. The company rewarded me by providing the correct alignment specs to share with owners:

http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?30987-Fiat-500-and-500-Abarth-Wheel-Alignment-Specs

Taking the feedback and quotes garnered mainly from the forum, I sent the info to the company and it helped persuade decision makers to make the Elaborazione Abarth a full fledged Abarth model, as per the community requests. They sent me the info ahead of the announcement and I dropped a hint here:

http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?24933-Fiat-124-Spider-News

We discussed why the Abarth Spider didn't have Abarth badging on the steering wheel and seats:

http://www.fiat500usa.com/2016/04/fiat-124-spider-abarth-announced.html

We confirmed that the Abarth Spider indeed gets a Abarth badging in the interior.
http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?30489-Confirmed-Abarth-Steering-Wheel-Badge-Coming!

Examples like these are why I humbly suggest people also use our forum, as you never know what you may see posted by myself, plus the other knowledgeable members. We have also sent feedback and comments directly to people in the company, which is another value we offer.

In this thread, Fiat was so interested in hearing what you had to say, they set up a conference with me and a handful of marketing, product and engineering managers. http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?5041-Fiat-500-Version-2-0

That's some of what goes on here. Be a part of it! gr_grin

Any news as to when the 2019 models will be in showrooms?
