Has anyone installed h&r 28781-1 on fiat 500x FWD? I know the listing is for a 2015-2017 Renegade, but since the 500x and the Renegade share the same platform, I have to presume it will work? If you have done it, post up some opinions.

Thanks

Heres the problem. The Renegade is heavier than the 500X. This could amount to a huge difference in ride height and performance. Having built custom Coilovers before picking the right spring rate is not easy.

I agree for a full race application it would make a difference(every oz. does), but considering there may only be 100lbs +/- difference between the two models comparing the fwd, 2.4l 9A vehicles, I think they should work just fine on a DD. There is another company that is making springs and use the same for both 500x and Renegade.

Madness in one thread said the springs I got from them for my X were the same as the Renegade, so would think that the H&R ones would also work.

How's the ride with those springs? How many miles have you driven on them?

Looks so much better lowered. It's amazing how drastic the improvement is.
Is it 2wd or awd? Driving impressions?

2wd, Doesn't feel much stiffer, however it now feels a little under dampened. Car handles flatter.

The only thing stopping me from doing this is I don't want to lose the higher ride height that makes it so easy to get in/out and gives such a commanding view ahead. The higher ground clearance is also nice for going through puddles and jumpin curbs.

I may have missed this in a different thread but is there any pictures or instructions for install of lowering springs?

That looks good! Now I hope Eibach will make a Sportline series for the Renegade. The Madness ones I have sit similar to your H&R. I want just a tad bit lower.

I used the youtube video on Daystar lift install for a Jeep Renegade as a guide to remove the struts.
