View Full Version : Disparity between speed control and displayed value

I've got a 2017 North American Abarth (Fiat) 124 Spider and have put just shy of 5,000 km on it. I love the car, but I've noticed something peculiar and am wondering if anyone else is seeing the same thing.

When you enable cruise control and set it, the speed you set it at is displayed in the top right hand corner of the far left round instrument display behind the steering wheel... basically it's shown just to the right of the outside temperature value. In my vehicle, that value as displayed is always 5kmph (3mph) higher than my actual set speed. In other words, if I set my cruise at 110 kph per the speedometer reading, the digital readout display value will be 115. If I set it at 125, the digital readout will be 130. So the offset (deviation) doesn't vary with the speed set... it's always 5 kph (3 mph) more than what my speedo reads.

Is anyone else seeing this, or have an explanation for what might be causing the disparity?
